CASE STUDY
Client
My Breast Cancer Support – a New Hampshire–based nonprofit providing emotional and financial support to local breast cancer patients and their families.
The Challenge
My Breast Cancer Support came to Tap House Media with a website that no longer reflected who they had become as an organization.
The design felt outdated and didn’t match the evolution of their brand.
Their three primary fundraising events weren’t clearly featured or easy to find.
Important information for patients and caregivers was buried and hard to navigate.
The site needed a much stronger search engine optimization (SEO) foundation to support ongoing growth and awareness.
They needed more than a cosmetic refresh—they needed a website that could truly support their mission, drive donations, and guide patients and caregivers to the resources they need.
Our Approach
We started with a full website audit, looking at design, content structure, user experience, and SEO. From there, we built a plan that aligned with both their mission and their marketing goals.
1. UX-First Website Redesign
We dove deep into their UX objectives and reshaped the site around the people who use it most:
Put their three main fundraising events front and center so supporters can easily register, donate, and get involved.
Elevated key breast cancer statistics in New Hampshire to clearly communicate the need for local support.
Streamlined navigation so patients, survivors, and caregivers can quickly find programs, financial assistance information, and ways to connect.
The new layout is clean, intuitive, and built to guide both donors and patients to the right next step.
2. A Fresh Visual Direction
The previous site no longer matched the growth and professionalism of the organization. We created:
A modern, uplifting visual design that reflects hope, community, and compassion.
Beautiful, mission-driven imagery that showcases real impact and real people.
A cohesive look and feel that ties together their events, stories, and resources.
3. Conversion-Focused Content & CTAs
We filled the site with purposeful, action-driven content:
Clear calls to action for donating, attending events, volunteering, and getting support.
Easy-to-skim sections for patients in treatment, survivors, and caregivers, so each audience can quickly find what’s relevant to them.
Messaging that balances empathy with clarity, making it easier for people to understand how My Breast Cancer Support can help.
4. SEO & Content Structure
Behind the scenes, we set them up for long-term success:
Optimized page structure, headings, and on-page content to support stronger search visibility.
Clean URLs, meta data, and internal linking to help people (and search engines) find what matters most.
A content framework that can grow with the organization as they add programs, stories, and events over time.
Expanding the Story with Video
The partnership didn’t stop at the website.
Tap House Media also produced a promotional video for My Breast Cancer Support’s 20th anniversary, created specifically to showcase at the 2025 Evening By The Sea Gala, one of their most popular fundraising events.
The video:
- Highlights the organization’s impact over two decades
- Shares powerful stories of local patients and families
- Reinforces the importance of keeping donations local
- It’s a piece they can now use across events, their website, email marketing, and social media.
The Results
While this case study focuses more on transformation than hard metrics, the outcomes are clear:
- A modern, easy-to-navigate website that finally matches the strength and heart of the organization
- Fundraising events front and center, making it simpler for supporters to register, donate, and share
- Improved user experience for patients and caregivers looking for help during one of the most stressful times of their lives
- A stronger SEO foundation that positions My Breast Cancer Support to be more visible to the people who need them most
- A powerful 20th anniversary video that deepens emotional connection and supports fundraising efforts
An Ongoing Partnership
Today, Tap House Media continues to work with My Breast Cancer Support as an extension of their marketing team.
We support them with:
- Ongoing website updates and refinements
- Event and campaign promotion
- Visual content, including video and graphics
- Strategic guidance to keep their digital presence aligned with their mission and growth
This isn’t a one-and-done project—it’s a long-term relationship built around helping a critical local nonprofit show up online as powerfully as they do in the community.
